WILD SATURDAY, 1.9. 2018: MOST | 16 KM | 400 VM

Running will be the final discipline on the both competition days. First day it will be wild as promised. 400 m elevation gain on 16 km long course is self-explanatory. The uphill run starts basically directly from Matylda Lake, from where runners hit the concrete path direction Hněvín aka first hill of this course. Fortunately after few meters terrain changes from concrete into a nice dirty path. In the half way up to Hněvín a steep uphill run beings and ends first on the top. This hard work will be rewarded by a great view. After taking a break and enjoying the view a steep downhill run on the concrete path awaits, but it won’t last long before it changes again into the uphill run over a dirty path to the second and last peak of this course called Široký Vrch, can be translated as “Wide Peak”, (386m). Short run over the “ridge” bring the Gigathletes back to Matylda Lake.

CALM SUNDAY, 2.9. 2018: RAČICE | 11 KM | 48 VM

Sunday's course will be again way easier and less demanding than on Saturday. On Sunday two times 5,5 km long lap with just 48 m of elevation gain has to be done. This course is a nice forest path just next to the rowing channel. Thanks to only one transition zone on that day runners don't have to move anywhere from the home base and therefore they can enjoy the atmosphere of the final day to the fullest. Nevertheless they will carry the burden of the very last discipline through out the day, till they finally get on their track to finish third edition of the Gigathlon Czech Republic.
